“Herberger's is coming back!” The retailer didn't provide any further details regarding the store's comeback other than simply saying, “stay tuned for updates over the coming weeks!” On April 18, The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc., the company which owns Herberger's and Younkers, announced it was filing for bankruptcy.

Is herbergers going to open again?

Herbergers.com is back, but it's too soon to know if any of the closed stores will reopen. Websites for Herberger's, Younkers relaunched with limited selection of items. Herberger's going-out-of-business sale may be history, but it appears the department store and its parent company are back, at least online.
